
On February 14 at 17:00, the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Abdylas Maldybaev will host a performance of the opera-dastan "Ak-Moor."
As noted by Elena Myagkova, the head of the literary and dramaturgical department of the theater, the libretto of this work, written by Akbar Ryskulov, is based on one of the popular folk legends. The opera tells the story of the tragic love between the beautiful Ak-Moor and a simple young man named Bolot, whose feelings are destroyed by the intrigues of the evil rich man Zhantai-khan, leading to a sad ending for the lovers.
The director is Iskender Sartbaev, a honored artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, while the set designer is the people's artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Maratbek Sharafidinov. The choreographer is Tilek Kiizbaev, and the chorus master, a honored artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, is Karagul Tilenchiev.
The conductor's chair is occupied by the author of the musical work, the people's artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Jumakadir Kanimetov.
