The purpose of this bill is to improve access to safe water and sanitation for residents of 126 settlements in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions. The total amount of funding for the program is 200 million dollars, of which the OPEC Fund will allocate 20 million dollars. The loan terms include a duration of 20 years, a grace period of 5 years, and an interest rate of 1.25% per annum.
In addition, the Jogorku Kenesh also adopted in the third reading the bill on the ratification of the Loan Agreement "First Program for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth" with the OPEC Fund for International Development, signed on September 22, 2025, in Bishkek, as well as the draft law in the second reading on the ratification of the Issuance Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, signed on July 21, 2025, in Bishkek.
