Kyzyl-Bel is the name of a locality located in the Aitmatov District of the Talas Region of Kyrgyzstan.

Senior researcher at the Kara-Buura State Natural Park, Nuriya Orozbaeva, shared information about the significance of this area.

According to her, the region stands out for its natural characteristics and historical value.

Orozbaeva noted that the name "Kyzyl-Bel" comes from the Kyrgyz words "kızyl" and "bel." The first word indicates a red or brownish hue of the soil and hills, while the second denotes a mountain pass or elevation.

Local residents claim that this name originated from a pass with a reddish tint.

Kyzyl-Bel is located near the Talas Valley in a hilly area at the foot of the mountains. Previously, this region served as an important pass connecting different villages. The soils in this area, characterized by red and brownish hues, are ideal for pastures and livestock farming.

Currently, the name Kyzyl-Bel is actively used by the locals, and the area is recognized as one of the significant territories reflecting the history of place names (toponyms) in the Aitmatov District," local residents added.
