Starlink Satellite Internet Officially Launched in Tajikistan

Starlink satellite internet has officially launched in Tajikistan. This was announced by Elon Musk's company on February 5, 2026. The social media post notes that "Starlink now offers high-speed internet with low latency in Tajikistan."

This technology provides stable and fast internet in remote mountainous regions where ground infrastructure is absent or unreliable. The launch of Starlink became possible thanks to a licensing agreement signed with Tajik authorities in October 2025.

Tajikistan has become one of the first countries in Central Asia where the Starlink service has started operating, after it was launched in Kazakhstan in August 2025.

According to preliminary data, the subscription cost will be about 1100 somoni (approximately $117.6) per month, and the equipment for connection will cost 2700 somoni (about $288.6).
