Today, February 12, a meeting took place in Bishkek where the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev, met with the Ambassador of Austria to Kyrgyzstan, Andrea Bacher.
According to the Ministry of Culture, during this meeting, the directions for the development of Kyrgyz-Austrian cooperation in the fields of culture and youth policy were discussed, as well as potential joint cultural and humanitarian projects.
Particular attention was given to expanding cooperation in areas such as vocational education, museum affairs, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Mirbek Mambetaliev invited the Austrian side to actively participate in the VI World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026, as well as in events dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Issyk-Kul Forum of Chyngyz Aitmatov.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Austria.
