Sadyr Japarov, who holds the position of president, announced that Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously headed the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), will not return to his former government position. He shared this in an interview with the "Kabar" agency.
The president noted: "I prefer to resolve any disputes peacefully. We remain friends. But he will not return to public service. It is better for him to rest and take care of his health. Time will put everything in its place. He may be upset now, but over time he will understand that this was the right decision."
Additionally, Japarov commented on the situation regarding the departure of people close to Tashiev from their positions.
"I did not instruct anyone to leave. They should fulfill their duties and not interfere in political matters. If someone decides to leave of their own accord, we will not hold them back. Inspections will be conducted in every ministry. If any corrupt actions are discovered, those responsible will be punished," he added.
The president also emphasized the importance of personnel policy, stating: "I have always warned against the inadmissibility of appointing relatives and friends. Such people often feel untouchable. If theft is proven, everyone will be held accountable, regardless of their status."
Japarov also mentioned that he met with Tashiev after his resignation.
"Last night I met with him. I told him: rest and take care of your health. He admitted that some 'aksakals' acted behind his back, causing him harm. We are restoring order, and we have the strength and means to do so," the president concluded.
