According to sources, starting from April 1, the regulator will begin a "total blocking" of Telegram, using a scenario that was previously applied to social networks Instagram and Facebook.
It is expected that the restrictions will affect the entire Russian Federation, and the application will cease to function both through mobile networks and through stationary internet providers.
Roskomnadzor, commenting on the information that has emerged, stated that it "has nothing new on this issue."
Recall that the start of work to limit Telegram became known on February 10 from a material by RBC. Subsequently, representatives of Roskomnadzor confirmed the introduction of "sequential restrictions," justifying it by the need to protect citizens' data and comply with legislation.
