GDP of EAEU countries increased by 11% over 4 years, - Chairman of the EEC Board Sagintaev

- During an event in Moscow, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, head of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission, shared the economic indicators of the EAEU for recent years on February 17.

According to him, from 2020 to 2024, the gross domestic product (GDP) of EAEU countries increased by 11%, while the industrial sector grew by 15%. Agriculture also showed positive dynamics, increasing by 10%.

According to preliminary data, in 2025, the main economic indicators of the Union member states continue to demonstrate a positive trend, with GDP growth estimated at 1.7% based on the previous year.

Moreover, the share of transactions in national currencies between EAEU states reached 93%.

“The participation of the business communities of the Eurasian 'five' in integration processes is an important factor for enhancing the competitiveness of national economies,” noted Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
