The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic held a presentation of a new project titled "Quality and Innovations in Higher Education" (QIHE).
According to representatives of the ministry, the implementation of this project is carried out within the framework of a financing agreement with the International Development Association, which is part of the World Bank.
The presentation was attended by the minister, as well as heads of various structural divisions and departments of the ministry.
During the event, it was emphasized that the QIHE project represents a comprehensive reform aimed at improving the competitiveness of higher education in Kyrgyzstan, developing scientific research, and introducing innovative solutions.
The main goal of the project is to create a sustainable ecosystem of education quality that meets both national priorities and international standards.
During the meeting, the main achievements at the current stage of the project, strategic directions until 2026, and long-term plans until 2029 were presented.
Among the key tasks, the following can be highlighted:
- Improving the quality of scientific research in higher educational institutions.
- Adapting educational programs to the requirements of the modern labor market.
- Enhancing the quality assurance system in higher education.
