In the Ton District, the operation "Arsenal" continues, within which the voluntary surrender of firearms is being carried out.

According to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, active work is underway in the Ton District to collect illegally stored weapons from citizens as part of the operational and preventive measure called "Arsenal".

During these activities, one of the residents of the village of Ala-Bash reported that while herding cattle, he noticed a firearm of the "TOZ" brand hidden in a cemetery. Initially, the man did not pay much attention to it, believing that the gun belonged to someone else. However, during the raids, he decided to inform the police about the find and indicated the exact location of the weapon.

The collected gun was registered in accordance with established procedures and sent for forensic ballistic examination. The "Arsenal" operation continues in the district.

Law enforcement agencies strongly urge citizens to surrender illegally stored weapons and ammunition. It is important to note that those who voluntarily surrender weapons are exempt from criminal liability under current legislation.
