The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries discussed the prospects of Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation.

On February 23, 2026, in Geneva, during the high-level session of the UN Human Rights Council and the disarmament conference, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the negotiations, the current state and future opportunities for Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation were discussed. Both sides expressed a desire to enhance political contacts, expand the legal framework, increase the volume of trade and economic relations, and develop student exchanges. Attention was also drawn to mutual coordination within the UN and other international issues.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral relations through the organization of mutual high-level visits and the continuation of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs.
