Fuel truck exploded on the Bishkek-Osh highway: Identity of the deceased established

In connection with the incident on the Bishkek-Osh highway, during which a fuel truck exploded, an investigation has been initiated.

According to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, on February 25, a truck carrying fuel and lubricants completely burned down on the Bishkek-Osh highway. As a result of the incident, the body of a man was found.

The incident was reported to the duty unit of the Internal Affairs Department of Kara-Kul on February 25, 2026, at 17:20 via the "112" service. The fire occurred at the 423rd kilometer of the Bishkek-Osh highway involving a heavy fuel truck that was moving southward.

This information was recorded in the electronic log, after which an investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers saw an overturned DAF truck with a trailer in the oncoming lane (section 400–423 km), which was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters who arrived at the scene were able to localize and extinguish the fire.

During the inspection of the cabin of the burned vehicle, a charred body was found. It was established that this was the driver from the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, T.Ch., born in 1985. His body was sent to the morgue of the city hospital in Kara-Kul.

A forensic examination has currently been appointed to determine the exact cause of death. Investigative authorities continue to work on clarifying all the details of the incident and the causes of the traffic accident that led to the fire.
