During joint operations with border guards and customs authorities, 58 vehicles were inspected, which brought nearly 1.1 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits from Kazakhstan into Russia.

This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor.

The products undergoing inspection were produced in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China.

Of the 58 vehicles, 4 were headed directly to Kurgan, delivering 60 tons of apples and 20 tons of onions from Kazakhstan.

The remaining vehicles transported zucchini, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and tangerines in transit through the Zauralye region to cities such as Chelyabinsk, Surgut, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Moscow, and Sverdlovsk region.

Onions remain the most popular product, as 29 vehicles carried them across the border.

Additionally, almost every fourth vehicle (13 vehicles) brought fresh cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, and strawberries.
