Since the beginning of the events in the Middle East, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, as well as the leadership of the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have been actively addressing the security of citizens. This was reported by Ulukbek Maripov, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia.

According to him, the diplomatic mission maintains contact with every Kyrgyz citizen, including students and pilgrims who arrived for Umrah. "A special headquarters has been established to work with pilgrims, and operational activities are being carried out in cooperation with the Muftiate, the State Agency for Religious Affairs, and travel companies," the ambassador specified.

Maripov also reported that 35 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Bahrain have requested assistance. They are provided with round-the-clock communication, and measures will be taken to provide help if the situation changes.

"Air flights in Saudi Arabia continue to operate quite stably, while airports in many neighboring countries are closed. Domestic flights are operating as usual, and local airlines continue to carry out international flights, although the number of flights from abroad has decreased," he added.

The overall situation in Saudi Arabia remains relatively calm, and there is ongoing interaction with local authorities. The situation is being monitored on a continuous basis.

In case of questions or the need for emergency assistance, Kyrgyz citizens can contact the direct line in Saudi Arabia: +966 58 376 99 45.
