This information was provided to the Turmush correspondent by Shaiyrbek Ergeshov, who heads the regional methodological educational center.
He noted that last year, 38 students reached the republican level.
“The regional stage of the Olympiad was held at two educational institutions: the Sapat Lyceum for Boys named after Kurmanbek Baatyr and the Lyceum for Girls named after Zuura Nurmatova, located in the city,” he added.
At this stage, 312 schoolchildren from various districts and cities participated, testing their knowledge in 17 subjects.
As a result of the competition, 37 students were able to qualify for the republican stage, and those who took prize positions were awarded prizes,” Sh. Ergeshov reported.
He also clarified that in the previous academic year, 38 students from the region participated at the republican level, three of whom took prize places.
For reference: there are 479 schools in the Jalal-Abad region, of which 455 are state schools. The total number of students is 297,226.
