The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, addressed the women deputies during a parliamentary meeting with congratulations ahead of International Women's Day on March 8.
He emphasized the importance of women as keepers of the family hearth and wished them health, happiness, and joy.
“Today, women are actively working in various fields and making a significant contribution to the development of the country. This is especially true for women deputies, who play an active role in legislation. Recently, the president issued a decree introducing a gender quota in public administration, according to which the proportion of one gender in the staff composition should not exceed 70%. This is an important support for women,” noted Mamataliyev.
