The Cabinet introduced a temporary ban on the export of agricultural animals from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to impose a temporary ban on the export of agricultural animals. According to the press service of the Cabinet, this ban will be in effect for six months.

The restrictions apply to cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. The classification of these animals is carried out according to the EAEU customs codes: 0102 for cattle, 0101 for horses, and 0104 for sheep and goats.

However, there are exceptions to this ban:

– transit through the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;

– export of sport horses for participation in competitions;

– horses donated to foreign states, international organizations, or private individuals;

– live agricultural products exported by the state operator

– open joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Agriholding," except for products grown on the territory of the country;

– export of horses via air transport.

This resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the KR, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The main goal of this ban is to ensure food security and stabilize food prices in the country.

In this regard, relevant state authorities have received appropriate instructions.
