The Cabinet extended the ban on the export of agricultural animals for six months.

- The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has extended the ban on the export of agricultural animals for another six months. The resolution, published on March 9, is available on the Cabinet of Ministers' website.

This ban covers the export of cattle, horses, sheep, and goats, as reported by the press service of the President's Administration.

“The purpose of adopting this document is to ensure food security in the country and stabilize prices for food products,” the press service clarified.

The restrictions do not apply to the following categories:

– transit through the territory of Kyrgyzstan;

– sport horses intended for participation in competitions;

– horses that are gifted to foreign states, international organizations, or private individuals;

– live cattle exported by the state operator OJSC “Kyrgyz Agrokholding,” except for cattle raised in Kyrgyzstan;

– horses exported by air.

Previously, on August 20, 2025, a decision was made to impose a similar ban for six months.
