As reported by AKIpress, this appointment was made possible based on paragraph 6 of part 1 of article 70 and article 71 of the Constitution, as well as article 8 of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Local State Administration and Local Self-Government Bodies." The order was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Naryn Region, Nurbek Satarov, introduced the new head to the district's active members.
Zalkarbek Karimov is a graduate of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn in Bishkek and holds a higher education degree.
His professional journey includes the following stages:
- 2009–2011 — worked as a leading specialist in the Gulcho rural administration, Aksy District, Osh Region;
- 2012–2016 — deputy of the Budalyk rural council, Aksy District, Osh Region;
- 2016–2021 — head of the Budalyk rural administration, Aksy District, Osh Region;
- 2022–2023 — head of the Kongo-Dobo rural administration, Aksy District, Osh Region;
- 2023 — head of the department of economics, production, and agriculture in the state administration of Uzgen District, Osh Region;
- 2023–2025 — mayor of the city of Uzgen, Osh Region;
- from April 15, 2025, until the current appointment — head of the Datka rural administration, Kara-Suu District, Osh Region.
