Professional lyceums in Kyrgyzstan will strengthen the 'green' format of education

In Kyrgyzstan, professional lyceums will focus on education in the field of "green" technologies and environmental responsibility.

This information emerged from a meeting at the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center (RNMC), where representatives of the Ministry of Education and experts from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) discussed the integration of environmental aspects into curricula.

According to the Ministry of Education, Maksat Abdigaparov, an ADB expert, emphasized the importance of incorporating green skills into educational programs. In particular, the necessity of applying environmental protection aspects both in theory and practice was noted.

Deputy directors reported that institutions of initial vocational education are already training based on the principles of a green economy and waste minimization, taking into account the specifics of various professions. This creates conditions for the development of modern ecological competencies among students.

Ainura Kuseinova, head of the vocational education department at the Ministry of Education, suggested initiating project work with participants and jointly developing a program for the implementation of ecological skills with the RNMC, as well as continuing its execution with a demonstration of results.

Additionally, during the meeting, there was an exchange of experiences where best practices for integrating green approaches into the educational process were discussed. This meeting became a platform for constructive dialogue and the search for new solutions for training environmentally literate specialists in the system of initial vocational education.
