
During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on March 12, the parliamentarians decided to implement a previously approved act aimed at countering fraudulent activities in the financial sector and online services.
This step continues the resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh from June 25, 2025, No. 3297-VII, which aims to strengthen measures against fraud affecting the banking sector and the internet space.
The initiator of the document, Deputy Mederbek Aliyev, emphasized that under the new resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the National Bank are instructed to inform the parliament quarterly about the actions taken to combat fraudulent schemes. He added that in recent years, many new forms of fraud related to banking services and the internet have emerged, causing significant financial damage to thousands of citizens.
Additionally, Aliyev noted that government agencies should conduct a systematic analysis of the situation and intensify efforts to prevent such crimes.
During the discussion, Deputy Altynbek Kylchayev highlighted the importance of improving legislation regarding drop shipping, noting that such activities often involve youth and minors.
Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised questions about the activities and resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' cybersecurity department. Gula Kozhokulova emphasized the need to protect banking databases, while Jylgyz Egemberdieva pointed out the risk of spreading slander and false information through fake accounts online.
