Old metal railings and asphalt covering have already been completely removed from both sides of the bridge. The installation of new reinforced concrete beams is ongoing, and work to increase the width of the structure continues.
“Earthworks are also continuing on the section of the road from Jibek Jolu Avenue (0–360 m), and power and communication lines are being relocated. In this regard, the section of the Lebedinovka—GES-5 highway (0–360 m) will be temporarily closed to traffic from February 15 to April 20,” the press service reports.
The length of the Lebedinovka—GES-5 highway is 5.1 km. During the reconstruction, it is planned to change the category of the road and expand the roadway from two to four lanes.
