According to information from the Issyk-Kul regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, winds with speeds reaching 28–34 m/s were recorded on the night of March 11.
In connection with the incident, an operational group from the Balakchy city department No. 19 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers temporarily halted the work on dismantling the roof, and the students were sent home.
The school is insured. Maksatbek Kadyraiev, deputy director of the State Insurance Organization for the Issyk-Kul region, reported that specialists were dispatched to the site for inspection and damage assessment.
