A meeting took place in Bishkek between Asel Chynbaeva, the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Samman Tapa, the UNICEF representative in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the government, important areas of cooperation concerning the protection of children's rights and well-being were discussed.

As a result of the negotiations, a work plan for 2026-2027 was signed, which includes programs in the field of social policy aimed at improving the system for protecting children's rights, as well as developing monitoring of the situation of children in the country.

Among the key aspects of cooperation will be systematic monitoring of children's conditions, strengthening inter-agency collaboration, and enhancing the effectiveness of the work of the Commissioner for Children's Rights.

The parties noted that the implementation of this plan would improve state policy in the area of child rights protection and ensure a more comprehensive approach to addressing issues related to children's interests in Kyrgyzstan.

“During the meeting, the importance of further developing the partnership between the institution of the Commissioner for Children's Rights and UNICEF was emphasized, aimed at creating conditions for the full development, protection, and realization of the rights of every child,” the press service reports.
