The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kairat Tursunkulov, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan, Iyad bin Ghazi Hakim, receiving copies of his credentials.
During this meeting, the Deputy Minister congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed hope for his successful work in his new role, as reported by the press service of the foreign ministry.
The parties discussed further steps to strengthen bilateral relations, emphasizing the deepening of political dialogue as well as the expansion of cooperation in trade and investment. In addition, they touched upon current international and regional issues, paying special attention to the situation in the Middle East.
They also discussed the possibilities of organizing mutual visits at high and top levels.
Iyad Hakim, for his part, confirmed his intentions to actively work on strengthening ties between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia during his diplomatic tenure.
