The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan has presented the preliminary results of the voting on the new Constitution, reports Kazinform.
The overall voter turnout across the country was 73.12%, with the number of voters participating in the referendum reaching 9,127,192 people.
According to preliminary data, 7,954,667 citizens, which is equivalent to 87.15% of the total number of voters, supported the proposed changes.
At the same time, 898,099 people voted against, and 146,558 ballots were declared invalid.
