A meeting took place in Bishkek between Mayor Aybek Junushaliev and Askar Salymbekov, president of the "Dordoy" Association.
During the meeting, issues regarding the improvement of infrastructure at the "Dordoy" market were discussed.
"The city hall has already completed all necessary work. We are not against business; on the contrary, we support it. However, it is important that development does not happen spontaneously. It is necessary to create comfortable conditions for traders and residents," the mayor stated.
As part of the improvements at the "Dordoy" market, the construction of multi-level parking lots and landscaping of the area is planned, including fencing the lake and creating a walking area.
The mayor also instructed to return the parking zones to the municipality's balance by implementing a payment system via QR codes.
Askar Salymbekov reported that road construction work at the market will begin on April 1, 2026.
Following the meeting, Mayor Aybek Junushaliev set the task of completing preparatory work, including the dismantling of obstructive structures, before the Sverdlovsk district administration and the Municipal Property Management.
