Kyrgyzstan is starting to implement a new program aimed at increasing digital literacy among citizens. This was announced by Azamat Jamangulov, the Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, in an interview on Birinchi Radio.

He emphasized that the rapid development of information technologies requires a higher level of digital literacy from the population and public servants.

“Considering the rapid changes in the world of digital technologies, it is necessary to enhance the qualifications of public servants and the general understanding of digital tools among the population. Previously, we conducted training for public servants, including akims and managers, but starting in 2026, the program will be revised, as the results of previous trainings did not meet expectations. We plan to reach broader segments of the population. Classes have already begun in the Osh and Batken regions, and the initial results are already encouraging. In the future, we plan to expand the program to other regions,” the minister added.

Jamangulov noted that in recent years, Kyrgyzstan has achieved significant success in digital transformation and has created a solid foundation for further digitization.

He highlighted the “Tündük” platform as one of the key elements facilitating data exchange between government institutions and providing services to the population.
