The Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh responsible for finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development has given a positive conclusion regarding the candidacy of Almaz Baketaev for the position of Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It is worth noting that prior to this, Almaz Baketaev held the position of Minister of Finance.
At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Speaker Marlen Mamataliyev also announced that the current Chairman of the National Bank, Melis Turgunbaev, has submitted his resignation.
