In the city of Osh, a suspect has been detained for a series of thefts of components from electrical substations.

In Osh, a man suspected of stealing electrical components has been detained.

According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the city of Osh, local law enforcement agencies were able to solve a number of thefts that occurred at the city's energy facilities. The suspect has already been detained and has confessed to his guilt.

Previously, the Ak-Buura City Police Department received a report from the management of the electric grid company regarding thefts. Based on the investigation materials, on February 27, 2026, between 11:00 and 12:00, an unknown person broke into the door of the transformer substation TP-214, located on I. Razzakov Street, and stole 12 fuses with a capacity of 400A.

On the same day, a similar crime occurred at the TP-3 substation on U. Salieva Street, where 9 fuses of the PN-2 brand, also with a capacity of 400A, were stolen.

As a result of operational-search activities conducted by the police, on March 14, the suspect was detained, who turned out to be a native of the city of Suluktu from the Batken region, born in 1995, identified as a citizen U.N.

During the interrogation, the detainee admitted that he intended to sell the stolen parts at scrap metal collection points. During a search, a bag containing the stolen components, which he had not yet managed to sell, was found with him.

Law enforcement agencies discovered that the detainee has a criminal record for robbery. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him, and the suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are ongoing.
