Tomorrow, March 21, Kyrgyzstan will celebrate Nowruz — an ancient spring festival. The main events will take place in Naryn, but Bishkek will also join in the festivities.
In the capital, preparations are underway for a large-scale celebration. Festivities are planned at Ala-Too Square and will cover all districts of Bishkek.
From 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, a rich program is expected at Ala-Too Square, including concerts, national games, exhibitions, and ethnic yurt towns showcasing the traditions of various peoples of Kyrgyzstan.
Guests of the festival can look forward to performances by artists, cultural events, and demonstrations of folk crafts.
