On March 20, a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of Nowruz took place in Bishkek at the Kyrgyz National Theater "Manas." The event gathered numerous guests, including residents of the capital, storytellers (manaschi), young poets, theater staff, and members of the group "Aruu Nur." The program was rich and diverse, reflecting the wealth of Kyrgyz traditions.
During the celebration, the audience enjoyed excerpts from the epic "Manas," participated in akyn competitions, and witnessed theatrical performances featuring elements of traditional games. Guests were offered national treats such as sumolok and kozhe.
The atmosphere of the celebration was created by performances from theater artists with musical and vocal numbers. The participants of the group "Aruu Nur" actively engaged in preparing traditional dishes, while volunteers from the public fund "Köykashka" assisted in organizing the entire event.
The goal of the celebration was to preserve cultural heritage, promote national traditions, and strengthen social unity.
