In Kyrgyzstan, starting from April 1, 2026, there will be a significant increase in salaries for doctors, teachers, and cultural workers. This information was announced by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, in an interview with the interstate television and radio company "Mir".
“Initially, we planned to raise salaries in the social sphere by 50%, however, the president proposed to increase it by 100%. This applies to all categories of workers, including doctors. Thus, the average salary increase will be at least 100%. We found the necessary funds in the budget, which were allocated even when it was approved. The president raised this issue at the kurultai in December last year, where elected representatives from across the region gathered,” noted Kasymaliev.
He also added that for some categories of medical workers, the increase will be even more significant. In particular, young doctors without experience will see their salaries increase by 1.6 to 1.7 times.
