- The Eurasian Economic Commission has made changes to the rules regarding the determination of the country of origin of certain goods used in public procurement within the EAEU.

The new rules will come into effect on April 15.

This will allow businesses to register 31 new product names in the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods, including pesticides, fuel additives, certain types of polyethylene, epoxy and alkyd resins, generators, cash registers, as well as computers and monitors.

In addition, a mechanism for prior notification of the Commission and member states about any changes in national laws concerning the confirmation of the country of origin of goods for public procurement has been added to the rules.

Note:

The Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods is designed to ensure access to public procurement in EAEU countries, where preferences, restrictions, and prohibitions regarding goods from other member states or third countries apply.
