The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan, Nicholas Bowler, on March 25. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, attention was drawn to the outcomes of the Kyrgyz minister's visit to London in February and the mechanisms necessary for implementing the agreements reached. Kulubaev positively assessed his trip to the United Kingdom, emphasizing that it laid a solid foundation for further cooperation and the importance of moving from declarative statements to real actions.
During the discussions, aspects of trade and economic cooperation, as well as investment opportunities, were considered. Special attention was given to issues of interaction in the mining industry and the prospects for attracting British technologies and investments in the development of deposits.
The parties agreed to continue the practice of mutual visits, including the exchange of government delegations and the organization of business missions, with the aim of qualitatively expanding cooperation.
In addition, the participants of the meeting confirmed their intention to strengthen ties between the Jogorku Kenesh and the Parliament of the United Kingdom, discussing the possibility of exchanging visits by parliamentarians from both countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the current situation in the Middle East, expressing a shared position on the need for a prompt establishment of peace in the region.
