A corruption scheme has been uncovered in the Chui Regional Court of Kyrgyzstan, according to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to information provided by the GKNB, the senior secretary of the Chui Regional Court, A.Zh.B., used her official powers to facilitate a decision that did not involve imprisonment, for which she received 26 thousand US dollars from a citizen named "T.M.T.". However, she ultimately failed to resolve the matter in favor of "T.M.T.".
During operational-search activities, GKNB officers caught A.Zh.B. in the act as she was returning part of the previously received funds amounting to 651 thousand soms and 2.8 thousand US dollars. She was placed in custody in the GKNB detention center.
During the investigation, a connection was also established with the illegal actions of a citizen "K.A.A." as well as the judge of the Alamudun District Court of the Chui region, "Zh.Sh.B.", who was detained while returning 85 thousand soms.
The GKNB of the KR continues its work to identify other individuals involved in the aforementioned crimes among the employees of the judicial system of Kyrgyzstan.
