At Issyk-Kul, men were detained while butchering the carcasses of 2 shot ibexes

In the Jeti-Oguz district, suspects engaged in illegal hunting of ibexes have been caught.

According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, during operational and preventive measures under the code name "Ukuk-tartip" (Law and Order), employees of the tourist and environmental police, together with colleagues from the Jeti-Oguz District Department of Internal Affairs, stopped the illegal hunting.

The incident occurred in the Togolok area, near the village of Barskoon. Law enforcement officers detained the men at the moment they were attempting to butcher and transport the carcasses of two illegally killed ibexes (toо teke).

The fact was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Jeti-Oguz District Internal Affairs, and a criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 310 ("Illegal Hunting") of the Criminal Code.

During the investigation, a biological examination of the seized evidence (animal meat) was conducted. Experts confirmed that the samples belonged to wild ibexes.

The detainees turned out to be residents of the village of Tilekmat, one of them is I.Z., born in 1988, and the other is Zh.A., born in 1995.

According to the Internal Affairs Department, the suspects fully admitted their guilt and paid 200,000 soms in a pre-trial settlement to compensate for the material damage caused to the state.

The investigation into the case has been completed. An official charge has been filed under Article 310 of the Criminal Code. All materials of the criminal case with the approved indictment have been sent to the Jeti-Oguz District Court for further consideration.
