Recently, employees of the Department of Fisheries, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, held a fish stocking event. As part of this event, 5,000 fry of Issyk-Kul trout were released into water bodies flowing into the Suusamyr and Kokomeren rivers, located in the Suusamyr Valley of the Chui Region.

Fish stocking is part of the state policy aimed at preserving and reproducing aquatic biological resources. Fish stocking is one of the effective methods for restoring and increasing fish stocks in natural water bodies, reports the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, such events contribute to improving the ecological situation, preserving biodiversity, and ensuring the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems. This also has a positive impact on the development of the fishing industry and expanding the economic opportunities of the local population. The Department of Fisheries plans to continue holding fish stocking events on a regular basis.
