On March 26, the grand opening of the international Grand Prix tournament in belt wrestling, alysh, took place at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace in Bishkek.
This event is dedicated to the bright memory of Bayaman Erkinbaev, the founder of the International Federation of Alysh and a respected public figure.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ulukbek Omurbekov, the director of the Directorate for National Sports under the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, representatives of foreign delegations, and relatives of Bayaman Erkinbaev.
About 150 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, India, and the Netherlands are participating in the competitions.
