According to eyewitness accounts, a "Hyundai Sonata" car crossed into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a "Volvo" truck. As a result of the collision, the driver and his female passenger, who turned out to be his wife, died at the scene.
Confirmation of the information about the accident was received from the Department of Road Safety of the Jalal-Abad Region Internal Affairs Directorate. The deceased were a couple residing in the city of Kochkor-Ata, located in the Nooken district of the Jalal-Abad region.
According to official data, the incident occurred at 8:30 PM. The driver of the "Hyundai Sonata" was J.O.Ch., born in 1966. He was traveling from south to north and, upon reaching the pass, crossed into the oncoming lane, where the accident occurred with the heavy-duty "Volvo" truck. As a result of the collision, the driver and his wife, J.A.O., born in 1974, died at the scene.
Currently, investigative measures are underway regarding the occurred traffic accident.
