
According to data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, in 2025, microfinance organizations issued loans totaling 86 billion soms, providing financial support to 1,685.6 thousand recipients. Compared to 2024, the number of citizens who used microloans increased by 1.5 times, and the total volume of issued loans grew by almost 32%.
The largest number of microloan recipients is registered in Bishkek, where they account for over 36% of the total. Significant shares are also observed in the Osh region (about 13%), Jalal-Abad (approximately 11%), and Chui region (more than 9%). Financially, Bishkek also leads, receiving 28.5% of the total volume of issued microloans, followed by Osh region (over 15%), Chui (approximately 14%), and Jalal-Abad region (about 14%).
Analyzing the structure of microcrediting, it is evident that consumer needs still account for the largest share—about 62% of the total volume. Microloans allocated for agricultural development make up 15%, while the trade and public catering sector receives more than 10% of all issued loans.
