In Kyrgyzstan, the rules of mandatory health insurance for farmers have changed

The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund has announced new rules regarding mandatory health insurance (MHI) for farmers, modified in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Tariffs of Insurance Contributions for State Social Insurance".

According to the amendments introduced to the Law of the KR dated October 29, 2025, No. 243, heads and members of peasant (farm) households are now required to obtain MHI policies.

Previously, they enjoyed insured status and could receive medical and sanitary assistance under the State Guarantees Program on a free or preferential basis.

Currently, the ability to receive medical services within the MHI system is only possible if insurance contributions are paid or if there is a valid policy.

The MHI Fund strongly recommends that farmers and their family members obtain their mandatory health insurance policies as soon as possible.
