There are many causes of maternal mortality. Among them, anemia, chronic diseases, liver, heart, and lung diseases were often encountered. In addition, internal and external migration, as well as non-compliance with the interval between births, also play a role. Some parents, not understanding the situation, hold doctors accountable. First and foremost, the expectant mother should take care of her health and that of her child. In 2025, maternal mortality in Kyrgyzstan was most often recorded due to blood loss," said J. Zholdoshova.
In June of last year, it was reported that the Osh regional maternity hospital was closed for five months for major renovations.
