In the Naryn region, in the Ak-Tal district, there is a shortage of 22 medical specialists. This was reported by Azamat Düyshönaliev, the director of the Orozbek Köközov Center for General Medical Practice.

He noted that the staff shortage affects many areas. In 2025, five doctors arrived in the district, and they continue to work, but the problem of the lack of specialists persists.

The district needs to attract obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, traumatologists, anesthesiologists, family doctors, ophthalmologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, therapists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and other medical workers.

According to the director, despite ongoing efforts to attract doctors from other regions, many decline due to the remoteness of the district. Additionally, there is a problem with housing: in rural areas, rental options are virtually non-existent, and the available ones often do not meet the requirements of incoming specialists.

In light of the difficulties, the district administration, together with the administration of medical institutions, is developing a project to build housing for the doctors they plan to attract. Currently, there is only a small dormitory, but its capacity is insufficient.

The lack of doctors causes dissatisfaction and creates certain inconveniences among the local population.
