Cases of chickenpox have been identified at kindergarten No. 16 in the city of Karakol

At kindergarten No. 16 in the city of Karakol, cases of chickenpox have been registered, leading to the closure of two groups for quarantine by the decision of health authorities. The information was provided by the parents of the children.

According to the Karakol Inter-District Center for Disease Prevention and Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance, from February 27 to March 6, 2026, chickenpox was diagnosed in 8–10 children attending the middle and senior age groups. In this regard, the sanitary service decided on a temporary quarantine for these groups.

Specialists noted that the current epidemiological situation is under control. This kindergarten is operating as usual, and restrictions apply only to the specified groups.
