According to current legislation, only those who hold a diploma in higher medical education have the right to engage in folk medicine. This was stated by Aman Osmonov, head of the licensing department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, during the broadcast of the program "Elden Sobol" on the Kabar agency.
He emphasized that this right is granted only to specialists who have completed their education at a higher educational institution and have undergone relevant advanced training courses in the field of folk medicine. Furthermore, the law strictly prohibits the advertising of herbal medicines and so-called "mass healing".
“In 2024-2025, large-scale inspections of private medical institutions will be conducted. We have found that short-term training programs create serious problems in healthcare. In this regard, it has been proposed to reduce the number of such educational institutions. Currently, a moratorium has been imposed on the activities of institutions that train nurses, dentists, and cosmetologists in three months,” he noted.It should also be mentioned that a new bill is aimed at banning the advertising of services by entrepreneurs operating without the necessary licenses and violating the law.
