The air quality index (AQI) is categorized as follows:
0–50 — Good air
51–100 — Moderate air
101–150 — Unhealthy for sensitive groups
151–200 — Unhealthy atmosphere
201–300 — Very unhealthy atmosphere.
Experts advise residents to minimize time spent outdoors, especially important for children, the elderly, and those suffering from chronic respiratory diseases.
