According to the Kazinform agency, 2025 was the warmest year on record for China since meteorological observations began in 1961. The average temperature across the country was 11 degrees Celsius.

According to information from Xinhua, from June to August, the average temperature rose to 22.3 degrees, which is 1.1 degrees higher than the usual values for this time of year. Thus, the summer of 2025 became the warmest since 1961, matching the figures of the summer of 2024.

Last year, Beijing recorded the highest amount of precipitation since 1961. The duration of the rainy season and the total amount of precipitation in the northern regions of the country also reached record levels.

As for the forecast for the current month, meteorologists warn of possible negative consequences for the northern regions due to low temperatures, snowfalls, and ice. The southern areas of China should take precautions against the effects of meteorological drought in advance.
