Considering that this year the country is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its independence, the head of state gave instructions for preparations for the upcoming celebrations.
After these discussions, representatives of the law enforcement agencies presented their reports. The head of the State Border Service, Yazgeldi Nuriyev, reported on the results of his agency's work and announced the commissioning of a new complex of buildings for the "Sarahs" border detachment, which was opened with the participation of the president.
As a result, the president relieved Nuriyev of his duties as head of the Border Service, appointing his deputy, Ilaman Ilamanov, to this position.
Yazgeldi Nuriyev had been in charge of the border troops since January 2021, when he was awarded the military rank of colonel. Previously, he held the position of rector of the Institute of National Security.
In addition, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, celebrated on January 27, the president signed a decree awarding a group of military personnel and law enforcement officers with medals of Turkmenistan.
