During the 91st meeting of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops of the CIS countries, which took place in the city of Manas, delegations of heads of border services visited the border post "Barpy" named after D. Kochkorbaev, managed by the Border Service of the State National Security Committee in the Jalal-Abad region.
This border post is located at one of the key sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border and was put into operation in December 2024. The "Barpy" complex is a modern multifunctional facility with a well-developed infrastructure.
The First Deputy Chairman of the State National Security Committee and Director of the Border Service, Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev, conducted a tour of the post, familiarizing the delegation with its capabilities.

The "Barpy" complex includes service and residential premises, gyms, dining rooms, baths, summer kitchens, and dormitories for personnel. There are also sports facilities on the territory, including a football field and a parking lot.

Captain Bekbolsun Rayimbekov, the head of the post, presented a report on the current operational situation at the border.

The visit concluded with a tour of the service premises and living conditions of the military personnel, including one of the apartments.

The guests were also shown samples of firearms, including 7.62 mm "AZ" assault rifles, "Zastava M91" sniper rifles, "HP-7.62" machine guns with the "COBRA" system, "TAG-7V2" anti-tank grenade launchers, and hand grenade launchers.

Additionally, the delegation was acquainted with the infrastructure of the football academy of the "Barcelona" club in the city of Manas and visited the training complex "Muras United".



During the meeting, which was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Chairman of the State National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiev, he emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of collective security among CIS countries and the need for joint efforts to combat illegal migration.

"Modern challenges require us not only to respond quickly but also to engage in strategic planning to maintain stability at external borders," noted Kamchybek Tashiev.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of digitalization in information exchange and combating transnational crime, illegal migration, and improving the qualifications of border service personnel.

The head of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan also pointed out the importance of training specialists in the face of new threats, such as the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for smuggling and cyberattacks.

The city of Manas, as a symbol of the unity of the Kyrgyz people, became an ideal platform for discussing security issues at the borders of CIS countries.

Delegations from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Russia participated in the meeting, as well as representatives from various international organizations such as the CSTO and SCO.
